ARL's history dates back to 1978. Starting off in the intermodal industry, ARL now has a transport side with over 860 trucks, primarily still in the drayage space. They are headquartered in Moon Township.

ARL Logistics is the logistics division of ARL Network. They were located in Station Square but moved to the Strip District in 2022. They have agents and employees all over the U.S.

Beemac TruckingList Item 2
Flatbed Carrier.
Beemac Trucking is headquarted in Ambridge PA and ranked #91 on the top 100 for hire carriers in 2022 with revenue over $300MM. They started in 1984 and have close to 500 trucks in operation under their trucking side including 90 company-owned tractors, 30 lease-to-own tractors, 405 owner-operated tractors and 610 trailers.

Pitt Ohio
LTL Carrier. Broker.
Founded over 40 years ago, Pitt Ohio ranks #50 on the nation's top 100 for hire carrier list. With 2022 revenue of $900MM and over 5,000 employees, Pitt Ohio is an environmentally focused asset based less than truckload carrier.
Pitt Ohio's corporate headquarters are located in the Strip District area of Pittsburgh.

Through the combination of process and technology, Idelic helps fleets predict and mitigate driver risk, reduce preventable accidents and lower losses.
Out of the need for a comprehensive safety, compliance, and risk management system, Pitt Ohio Express created an in-house solution over a decade ago. They needed a more proactive approach to using their data to better predict at-risk behaviors and prescribe action before it was too late. From this, SafetyBox was born, and using this new system, Pitt Ohio saw enormous success.
As the results were tallied and awards were won, SafetyBox started to garner the industry’s attention as a whole, and Pitt Ohio looked to our founders to step in and take it to the next level. Thus, Idelic was born.

PGT was founded in 1981 and is based in Aliquippa PA. Southern Pines Trucking is also part of PGT Trucking. PGT ranked #98 on the Transport Topics top 100 list for 2022 with reported revenue of $237MM (PGT Trucking asset side, estimated 2020 revenue). PGT is a technology focused flatbed carrier with 480 company-owned tractors, 132 lease-to-own tractors, 526 owner-operated tractors and 1,825 trailers.

PGT Services is the brokerage spin off stemming from PGT Trucking. Located in Sewickley PA, they provide logistics services for a wide array of industries and have their PGT flatbed backing to provide additional capacity.

R&R Express, headquartered in North Fayette, is a robust logistics company offering many services. Founded over 30 years ago, R&R now has over 75 company-owned tractors, 429 owner-operated tractors, 642 trailers, 40 straight trucks, and a large brokerage division. Ranking #61 on the Transport Topics top 100 for hire carrier list with over $680MM in revenue and close to 400 employees.

JLE started in 2012 and has been growing rapidly. JLE is #20 on the top 100 flatbed carrier list for 2022. They have over 300 trucks.

Knichel Logistics

Founded in 2003 and based in Gibsonia PA, Knichel Logistics has been designated as both a WBENC-Certified Women’s Business Enterprise and a Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB).
The founder of Knichel Logistics, William Knichel, began working in the railroad industry in 1974. In 1986, he moved to a third party IMC. After operating for years as an independent agent for a national carrier, William formed Knichel Logistics in the spring of 2003 with his daughter Kristy.
In December of 2007, Kristy took over the family business as President. Knichel Logistics is a very family-oriented business with Kristy’s brother William Knichel Jr. holding the position of Vice President and her sister, Kandy Knichel-Barkley, functioning as Vice President of Administration.
Revenue in 2003 was $2MM and in 2021 hit $86MM.

Founded in 2008 and based in the South Park area of Pittsburgh, Target Freight Management is a technology focus provider of a variety of freight services. They provide outsourced freight management, logistics consulting, customized Transportation Management System solutions, and standard freight brokerage services (via TFM Truckload). Their focus has been on the Less Than Truckload & Parcel space but their service offerings continue to grow.

Modern's roots trace back to 1950 and they officially launched in 1987. They now have close to 500 trucks and operate over 20 locations. Their corporate headquarters is based in Coraopolis PA.
Their fleet focuses on liquid bulk as well as dry bulk shipping.
They provide other services such as warehousing, inventory management, transportation management and brokerage. -

Liberty Tire Recycling was founded in 2000 and is headquarted in the North Shore area of Pittsburgh. Liberty has over 40 locations in the U.S. and Canada and is the largest tire recycling company in North America. They are a private carrier with over 400 trucks that collect scrap tires.

Astrobotic
Lunar Logistics.
Astrobotic is a lunar logistics company that provides end-to-end delivery services for payloads to the Moon. Based in the North Side of Pittsburgh in a 47,000 square foot complex (which is the largest private facility in the world dedicated to lunar logistics), Astrobotic builds and operates its lines of landers, rovers, autonomous spacecraft navigation systems, and other space technologies. Payloads will be controlled directly from the Astrobotic Mission Control Center inside their headquarters located in the heart of Pittsburgh’s North Side.

PLS managed more than 1 million loads each year across their network.

With global headqaurers based in Robinson Township PA, Aires has been around since the early 1980's and provides relocation services worldwide with 11 global offices.
They opened their doors in 1981 as a freight-forwarding company. As they expanded, their founder, Jim Putt, envisioned a different kind of relocation company that would evolve into a multi-national corporation that revolves around their clients.
